1장. 열두바다:삶의시작 Twelve seas : The beginning of life
‘삶의 시작’이 일렁이는 파도와 함께 열리니, 제주 바리데기 신화와 제주굿 초감제(굿의 시작을 여는 의례)의 음악과 춤에 영감을 받아 에어리얼 실크와 함께 변형하여 표현한다.
The beginning of life 'The beginning of life' opens with rolling waves. Inspired by the music and dance from Baridegi's mythology of Jeju and Chogamje(the ceremony opening the start of gut) of Jeju gut, it is expressed by being modified with aerial silk.
2장. 역(易)의 서사시 The epic of inversion
끊임없이 돌아가는 ‘하루’라는 역(易),회전 안에서 일어나는 생명력, 그 문명의 원동력을 사람들의 반복적인.역(易)의 움직임과 노래로 표현한다.
The inversion called 'day' continuously rolling, vitality occurring in revolution, and the driving force of civilization, which is expressed by movements of inversion and songs.
3장.열두개의 별 Twelve stars : The fate of stars
우리는 이 무대에서 다시 우주의 밤하늘을 불러와나 자신도 하나의 별이 되어 빚나는, 자연 안으로 돌아가는모습을 담든다. "12개의 별" 은 황도 12궁을 바람을 상징하는대금의 연주와 에어리얼 타파즈(그네)의 춤으로 표현한다.
On this stage, we make scenes in which we bring the night sky of the universe about, ourselves turn to stars and shine, and we return into nature. "Twelve stars" are expressed with daegum perfomance and aerial trapeze(swing) dance that symbolizes wind for zodiacal signs.
4장.열두문(門) : 이별의 노래 Twelve doors : Song of farewell
망자에게나 남은 이들에게나 기약 없는 이별을 받아들여야 하는그 외롭고도 험난한 여정을 한국에서는 상여소리로 저승길을 잘 지나가도록 망자를 배웅하는이웃의 노래로 위로한다.
They console the lonely and harsh journey that has to
accept the unpromising farewell both for the dead and the remaing with neighbors' song of seeing off the dead so that they can pass the road to underworld with a funeral song.
5장.십이지신 : 해탈 Twelve Zodiac Animals : Nirvana
이 세상에 처음 들어왔던 것처럼 돌아갈 그 곳인 하늘에 대한희망, 그리고 우리 모두 흙으로 돌아가암을 알고, 고난과 죽음도 삶의 한 과정이자 완성이므로 결코 두려워하지 않는 해탈의 내적 세계를 그려본다.
Let it described a hope for heaven whichwe should go back to like we first came into this world, and the inner world of nirvana where we'll know we all return to soil and never be afraid of hardshipsand death because they are just one of processes and completions of life
